Korean Drama : Hyde, Jekyll, Me (Hangul: 하이드 지킬)

Hyde, Jekyll, Me is another Korean Drama about a man with dissociative identity disorder. Starring Hyun Bin who played the role of Gu Seo-jin, Robin, Terry. His split personality disorder began 15 years ago, and Seo-jin's doctor Kang Hee-ae (Shin Eun-jung) believes that Robin is a manifestation of his guilt regarding a traumatic incident then. Whenever his heart rate exceeds to 150, another personality emerges, and unlike Seo-jin's usual cold, cynical and ruthless self, Robin is kind, gentle and has a savior complex.

Han Ji-min played the role of Jang Ha-na the girl who goes to the amusement park with rides and a circus owns by Wonder Group Corporation, Seo Jin family business. And he happened to be the CEO in charge of the amusement park. After her returned to Korea after spending several years in the United States with Cirque du Soleil, Hana had so much plans to improve the circus in Wonder Group. But unfortunately Seo Jin wants the circus to be close down, because it's too expensive to run and has poor sales of tickets. Ha Na is not just concerned with her own job, but also to her colleagues , including her best friend Seo Hee Choi (Lee Se Na), she confronts Seo Jin and fights to keep the circus from closing down. Unaware of Seo Jin's dissociative identity disorder. His alternate personality appeared and saves Hana and everything turns upside down.

REVIEW:

I personally don't know what the right words to say, about this drama that won't sound too bad and negative. It took me 5 days to finish watching this, normally it only last 2 days for me to watch a K-drama. I had hard time finishing Hyde, Jekyll, Me, despite my good intentions. The writer of this drama is horrible, he sucks! The writing didn’t feel well-thought-out of. I was hoping things would improve (even a little), but it didn't. Besides its regular lapses in dramatic tension, logic was also lacking much of the time. The mystery & dangerous perpetrator threatening the characters is a boring plot line. Some funny scene's was supposed to be funny, but I just didn’t find it entertaining nor amusing.

I really hate how the writer fuck Hyun Bin's reputation with this piece of crap drama. Considering this is his comeback drama after a long period of hiatus in Kdramalandia.

Han Ji Min on the other hand was so bad from start to finish in this drama. Like the way she speak feels like she had a speech impediment and couldn’t speed up for her intonation. Her reaction in almost every scene with the same brow-furrowed blank expression is annoying. She was as bad as bad acting gets. Although, this doesn’t mean I think she is or only can be a bad actress, but in this drama her performance was really bad. Thanks to their writer for poorly writing Hana's character.

Although.....

On the last episode, Goo Seo Jin (Hyun Bin) takes in Robin‘s personality and confirms his love for Jang Hana (Han Ji Min), closing with a happy ending. But still my final thought is that this is yet another drama that was a complete waste of time....I'm not recommending this drama to anyone, but if you love Hyun Bin then you should check it out, because he did his best in this drama.

MY RATINGS : 4/10
