Little Amsterdam of Cebu City

Known as the mini - Amsterdam of Cebu, Sirao Flower Garden is one of the most visited newest attractions in the City. A huge part of the Garden is blooming with Celosia flowers which comes in yellow, fuchsia, and orange; and is surprisingly creates a surreal landscape, perfect for your muni-muni moments and millennial would go gaga over flooding their SNS with pictures. 

Located in the uphill land of Barangay Sirao in Busay Cebu. Sirao Flower Garden is about 19 kilometers from Cebu City which is around 47 minutes travel time depending with the traffic. 

How to get to Sirao Flower Garden? There are various ways of getting here; you can either commute, by jeep or the habal-habal/motorcycle, rent a car or taxi or by using private vehicle. 

As for the rate I cannot disclose it here because, honestly don't have any idea. (Sorry!) We were lucky to be here using private car. But don't get disappointed, you can always ask Mr. Google, his very helpful! 😉✌ 

Tips: 

🔹BEST TIME to go here is on BER-months, flowers were in full bloom but nonetheless to say the place is worth a visit even if there are some parts that was empty because they just had their harvest season. Worry free because they are now currently planting new flowers in time for the season. (in your visit) 

🔹 BEST to go here is every weekday in the morning to avoid the sea of crowd. Kindly note that if you come here late in the afternoon, it would be hard for your travel to drive due to fogs. So, better come here in the morning so you have lots of time to enjoy the beauty of this place has offer. 

🔹 If you go here now Summer month, make sure to bring some heat protector such as shades, hat, scarfs etc. because it was so hot. Trust me! 😅 

🔹 Most importantly RESPECT other tourist by avoiding loud voices and too much goofing around. 

🔹 and lastly, PROTECT Mother Nature and the place please! NO LITTERING around 😉

Benguet : STOBOSA Murals

Our Baguio visit won't be complete without going to Strawberry Farm in La, Trinidad Benguet. On our way there, we saw these beautiful colorful murals painted on houses on the hillside community of Stonehill, Botiwtiw and Sadjap (STOBOSA) in Barangay Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet. Inspired by the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Stobosa mural is the newest tourist attraction in Baguio that every Baguio-goer, travelers, and adventure seeker would go gaga over with, on their SNS including moi self.

So make sure to pullover and take your selfies and poses when you see these on your way to strawberry farm or walk away after your visit in Bell Church. The whole thing took almost half a year to finish, with residents pitching in in painting each houses.

Flower Festival 2017

A day before my 30th birthday, I went to the Summer Capital of the Philippines to unwind and relax. Never did I know it was in time for the famous Panagbenga Celebration. An annual flower festival celebrating Baguio City's "seasons of blooming". Nothing can be more romantic than thousands of flowers in full bloom and meticulously arranged floating at the heart of Melvin Jones Burnham Park in Baguio City. 

I am so happy, I was able to witnessed it for the first time.

The festival is held every month of February, this was created in honor to the city's flowers and as a way to rise up from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake, that badly hit Baguio City. The festival includes floats that are covered mostly with flowers, street dancing - presented by local dancers in flower inspired costumes, that is inspired by the beautiful Cordillera's customes and tradition.

HOW TO GO TO BAGUIO?

Going to Baguio is very easy. Because there are bus companies in Manila that cater passengers travelling to Baguio such as Victory Liner and Genesis Bus. Victory Liner's buses run on a 24-hour service while the Genesis buses operates from 3AM to 7PM. Regular fare/ ticket price is 485 pesos and travel time usually takes 6 to 7 hours. Most of these buses have FREE WIFI. (Prices may change without prior notice.) Korean Drama : The Blood (Hangul: 블러드)

The Blood made my list of Kdrama's for 2015 with vampire story-line. I was skeptical about this one because of poor ratings and reviews I've read and seen online. I'm glad I didn't listen to the previous negative reviews and comments about this drama and decided to watch it for me to decide.

Model-turned-actor Ahn Jae Hyun played the role of Park Ji Sang, a vampire. Or rather, he was infected with the vampire virus called VBT-01, because of his parents who were born human, and was infected by the said virus. Ji Sang uses his power to help people. When Ji Sang found out whose the mastermind and responsible for his parents death. He goes to Taemin Cancer Hospital, thanks to his young good looking self he was accepted as an incredibly top surgeon in Taemin. Wherein he meet Dr. Yoo Ri Ta played by Ku Hye Sun. The niece and heir of Taemin Hospital. Ri Ta is kindhearted, yet fierce young surgeon. She also happen to be the girl, Ji Sang save in the forest when they were both young.

Ku Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun tandem receive a lot of criticism. Due to the latter lack of experience in acting. Ahn Jae Hyun seemed to grow more confident as the series progressed but by then the show had lost a lot of viewers.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS DRAMA:

I watch this drama with fairly low expectations. But somehow Ku Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun manage me to watch them till the very end. I had a good time watching this, I was happy, thrilled, giggling and sad seeing Ji Sang died...yet somehow, they left me wondering what really happen. Because it appears on the end part that Ji Sang is alive??? or was is Ri Ta's figment imagination or his doppleganger or twins?So there you go, kind of sloppy writing, but oh well, we move on. Not the strongest series out there, but quite fun while it lasted.

MY RATING : 6/10
